Hydrotherapy Treatment
Hydrotherapy, also known as aquatic physiotherapy, involves performing rehabilitation, massage, strength, and mobility exercises in the pool under the care of a qualified physiotherapist.
Hydrotherapy treatment has several advantages over land-based exercise routines, including:
- Less body weight impact due to buoyancy
- Less pressure on the joints
- Gentle compression from the surrounding water
- Water resistance in multiple plains of movement
- Easier to do things you couldn’t do on land!
Hydrotherapy for Back Pain
Our specialised hydrotherapy sessions can provide significant relief if you’re suffering from back pain. We will guide you through gentle exercises and movements in warm water, helping to reduce pain, improve flexibility, and strengthen your back muscles.
What Can Hydrotherapy Help With?
Hot and cold hydrotherapy techniques can alleviate pain and inflammation, improve range of motion, and facilitate your body’s natural healing processes.
Hydrotherapy is highly effective for rehabilitation after joint replacement surgery, lower back surgery, lower limb trauma or where bodyweight exercises are too difficult.
It is ideal for managing the recovery of a wide range of ailments, such as:
- Lower back pain
- Knee pain
- Plantar fasciitis
- Nerve pain
- Inflammation
- Whiplash
- Osteoporosis
- Knee osteoarthritis
- Migraines
- Herniated discs
- Scoliosis
- Ankle injury
- Shoulder pain
- Hip pain
- Stroke recovery
- Hip replacement
- Various joint conditions
We take a holistic approach to pain management, combining the benefits of Hydrotherapy with physiotherapy techniques to help you achieve optimal results and significantly improve your quality of life.
