Simon Beagley is the Director and Pricipal Physiotherapist at Alpha Physio. He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2013 at the University of Queensland. He finished with first class honours after completing a research project assessing normal hand function in children which now helps guide treatment for children affected by Cerebral Palsy.

He is a published author in the journal Physical and Occupational Therapy in Paediatrics.

Simon has furthered his expertise by completing numerous Musculoskeletal Segmental & Dry Needling courses with the Australian Physiotherapists Association, and a Level 2 Dean Watson Headache Treatment course in 2020. He has a strong passion for treating migraines and other musculoskeletal pain and injuries. Simon has also tutored anatomy at the University of Queensland.

As well as his academic pursuits, Simon enjoys playing a variety of sports, including running, squash, martial arts, rugby union, and has played soccer for twelve years. He has also provided sports first aid for Bardon Wests Rugby Club, Ipswich Pride FC, and was on the stretcher team for the Brisbane Roar from 2011-2012. On his weekends, he enjoys running, surfing, cycling, going to the gym, and home brewing.

Meet our Kiwi physio Rush. Rush completed his Physiotherapy degree at Auckland University of Technology in 2019. He has experience working in Private Practice, Gym Settings, and Rugby League clubs.

Rush employs a tailored blend of manual therapy and exercise prescription to address the individual needs of his patients. Rush likes to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere during treatment, collaborating closely with his clients to achieve and sustain their health and fitness goals.

Rush has gone through two of his own personal rehab journeys. Managing a severe lower back disc injury and shoulder labral tear. Through this experience Rush is better able to relate to those currently going through their own rehab journey.

Lakhvir Singh

Lakhvir completed his physiotherapy training at the University of Queensland. He has diverse physiotherapy experience including outpatient musculoskeletal care, overseas work at Ghent University Hospital in Belgium, and has worked extensively with neurological, elderly and balance patients.

Lakhvir has a particular passion for musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy and brings an evidence-based approach with the latest research to his practice.

He has tutored anatomy at the University of Queensland and provided sports first aid at Brisbane Boys College for various sports including rugby, soccer, volleyball, tennis, and cricket.

Lakhvir is also a published author in the journal Musculoskeletal Science and Practice, showcasing his commitment to advancing the field of physiotherapy through research and academic contributions.

Outside of work, Lakhvir indulges his love for sports, actively participating in cricket, tennis, and squash. You’ll also catch him in the crowd at Rocks Riverside weekly park run. Having shared his younger years between Far North Queensland and Punjab, Lakhvir is fluent in Punjabi and has a deep appreciation for poetry.

Debbie Richards Is an integral part of the Alpha Physio Team. She has many years of experience as a manager in the retail sector, and brings a bright, warm, and friendly atmosphere to the practice. She is here to help you get the care you need.

Debbie has been a resident of the area for over 30 years and is an avid golfer at McLeod Golf Club (just one of the local clubs Alpha Physio sponsors). It is a great benefit to Alpha Physio having Debbie as our representative to the community.

As well as keeping the practice in order, Debbie enjoys walking, yoga, personal training, and golf in her spare time, as well as keeping a keen interest in home renovations and gardening.

Dylan Truong

Dylan completed his Masters of Physiotherapy Studies training at the University of Queensland. He has also completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the University of Queensland in 2021. He has a diverse physiotherapy experience including outpatient musculoskeletal care and has worked extensively with neurological, elderly and balance patients.

Dylan has a particular passion for sports physiotherapy and musculoskeletal conditions and with his science background, brings an evidence-based approach with the latest research to his practice.He has also tutored biology at the University of Queensland. He aspires to continue learning and upgrade his skills as he endeavours on his physiotherapy journey.

Outside of work, Dylan has an immense passion for sports, currently actively participating in volleyball, touch football and soccer. On his weekends, you will catch him in action playing PVL volleyball for Apex Volleyball club. In his younger years, Dylan played AFL for 12 years and that is where his passion for physiotherapy grew from. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, running and grabbing a coffee at the local café.

Matthew (Yehun) Ju

Matthew completed his physiotherapy degree at the University of Queensland. He has experience in occupational health, private practice, and hospital settings. He has worked with patients to overcome chronic pain, acute injuries, post-op rehabilitation and neurological conditions.

Matthew has a special interest in working with chronic pain conditions. Having seen many friends and family struggle with chronic pain, he understands how debilitating, confusing, and discouraging it can be. Matthew takes a holistic approach to treatment, with a keen focus on treating the person, not the condition.

Outside of work, Matthew likes to play the drums, keep active at the gym and participate in casual volleyball and football competitions. He also enjoys golf, bowling, table tennis and pool with mates. Matthew is also fluent in Korean.
